摘 要: I will survey results relating a discrete model, the loop-erased random walk (LERW), to the continuous model, the Schramm-Loewner evolution of parameter 2 (SLE2). While there a number of lattice models whose limits are versions of SLE, the case of LERW and SLE2 is particularly nice and there are some results that are unique to this case. I will include some recent work about SLE2 in domains whose boundary have both reflecting and absorbing parts.
演讲人简介: George Wells Beadle Distinguished Service Professor Greg Lawler received his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1979 and has been withthe University of chicago since 2006, in the Departments of Mathematics, Statistics, and the College. Professor Lawler's research includes random walks and continuous analogues (Brownian motion and diffusions) with a special emphasis or processes arising in statistical physics such as self-avoiding random walkloop-erased random walk (uniform spanning trees), and percolation; Conformally invariant quantities such as Schramm-Loewner evolution (SLE), Gaussian free field (GFF), and loop measures in two dimensions. In 2005, Lawler became a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Lawler received the 2006 SlAM George Pólya Prize. In 2013, he was named to the National Academy of Sciences. He was a plenary speaker at the International Congress of Mathematics in 2018 and in 2019, he received the Wolf Prize in Mathematics.
